Trio of New Hires Enhances our Team

Topic Design has just hired three new employees, Scott Allison as director of marketing, Joe Aylor as a senior developer and Taylor Hughes, a designer. The three new teammates bolster Topic’s client relationships, back end development and design capabilities, as they add their talents to the agency’s growing staff.

"Each of our hires brings a complementary skill set to our organization," said Deanna Hengge, Topic’s CEO. "These three individuals share our commitment to our clients and always providing new, creative solutions to their marketing efforts."

Allison was formerly a business development and marketing coordinator at Reztark Design Studio in Cincinnati. He has also managed multiple political campaigns, including the 2013 Cincinnati Streetcar campaign, and is a graduate of Xavier University and the University of Toledo College of Law.

“I am privileged to join an already incredible team,” said Allison. “Topic is at the forefront of what marketing should be, and I’m focused on increasing our local exposure and bringing in new and exciting opportunities.”

Before joining Topic, Aylor worked in application development at Unlimited Systems and Empower Media Marketing, where he built a solution to report to clients. He obtained a degree in computer science from Northern Kentucky University in 2004, and has since dedicated himself to honing his full stack development skills.

“I was drawn to Topic because of the unique work we offer in terms of full stack development,” said Aylor. “I’m looking forward to making Topic’s development capabilities stronger, and I know that I’ll have the opportunity to build diverse web capabilities, like websites, applications and e-learning platforms.”

Hughes started working full-time for Topic after an externship with the agency in Spring 2016. She graduated in May from the School of Advertising Art in Dayton, Ohio. She was previously a social media intern for Speedway LLC, and a freelance photographer.

“When I was placed at Topic for my externship, I knew it was a perfect fit,” said Hughes. “The atmosphere is incredible, and I am working with a talented group to make sure that our design work is consistently beautiful.”

Allison, Aylor and Hughes enhance the Topic team, with their experience and expertise. Topic’s work ranges from websites and marketing applications to public relations and content strategy. Topic is in the midst of a growth period, and these hires will continue to push the agency forward.
